(Jamma) They were good at emptying slot machines without breaking into them. They used special lock-keys with which they opened the money drawer by withdrawing the cash.
But their action was interrupted by the carabinieri of Bellante (Teramo) who surprised two Romanians at work inside a bar. The two were reported on the loose on charges of attempted aggravated theft and unjustified carrying of burglary keys.
The couple, who had been noticed by the bartender, targeted public establishments that had the characteristic of having separate game rooms from the bar, so as to be able to operate away from the eyes of customers and owners. Pretending to play slots, they were actually taking cash out of drawers.
The two Romanians were provided with a mandatory release form. The keys have been confiscated.
