Unfortunately, gambling addiction is a very dangerous disease, which has caused disastrous consequences for the citizens of Lazio in recent years". So the president of the Lazio Region, Nicola Zingaretti, comments on the approval of the regional law containing Provisions for the Prevention and Treatment of Pathological Gambling. “When gambling becomes addictive” he explains in a note, “those who have the opportunity to intervene have the responsibility to help those in need. Precisely for this reason, in the coming months, the Lazio Region will undertake to promote an awareness campaign on this issue because we know well that being informed about what causes this pathology is the first step to get out of it.
