The 75th Edilsivisa Trophy Lottery Grand Prix presented in Naples (ggroup 1 €775.940 in three heats, final and consolation 1600 metres), on the bill on the public holiday of May 1st and preceded by the rich days of racing on April 29th and 30th.
In the hall of the Tennis Club the numbers drawn were drawn by godmothers Claudia Ruffo and Ida Giugliano in the presence of the press and in live streaming, and by Paola Pucciatti in charge of Masaf, and by the organizers Pier Luigi D'Angelo and Luca D' Angelo president and CEO of the Parthenopei Racecourses, Emanuela Ferrante sports councilor of the Municipality of Naples, Giovanni Siniscalchi representing the SHRO Sbarro Health Research Organization, Riccardo Villari president of the Tennis Club of Naples, Federico Grassi president of Generazione Vincente Napoli Basket, Crescenzo Rivellini president of the Napoli Racing Show and vice-president of Casco Azzurro Motor Club.

Luca D'Angelo, CEO of the Neapolitan racecourses and sporting director of the Agnano races: “This year too, the 3 heats of the grand prix include some of the best European horses with the winner of the last two editions Vernissage Grif, fresh holder of the absolute record on the European tracks with 1.08.1 achieved in Cagnes sur Mer in March, winning the prestigious Criterium de Vitesse, who will have to defend the reigning champion title and the final record set last year in 1.09.6. The son of Varenne will have many fierce opponents in an edition that promises to be particularly uncertain and spectacular. Among the many, the winner of the GP Costa Azzurra in Turin Banderas Bi stands out, holder of the Agnano track record with the 1.09.4 achieved last year in the Consolazione, the very fast and emerging Cosmo Spritz, author of the best seasonal performance on the Italian tracks , the winner of the European Championship Akela Pal Ferm, Capital Mail, third of the 2023 edition, the winner of the Arrow of Europe 2023 Bleff Dipa, who beat Vernissage on that occasion. Edition with an international flavor with the presence of numerous foreign horses led by the large transalpine patrol, made up above all of 2 students of Jean Michel Bazire, both making their debut on the Italian tracks, but announced in great form. They are Elie de Beaufour, a regular visitor to the French first category and winner of over 1 million euros in his career, and Gigolo Lover, a mounted trot specialist but also excellent at sulky. Both will rely on the guidance of Nicolas Bazire, son of Jean Michel and champion of the long reins, who made history as the youngest winner of the Prix d'Amerique at just 21 years old. Also intriguing were the presences of Eclat De Gloire, already second in Italy in the Palio dei Comuni and of the very fast Swede Night Brodde driven by Conrad Lugauer".
Grand prix broadcast on Rai Sport with connection from the press room in Agnano (17.30/18.30 pm) for the deferred broadcast of the heats and the final live, preceded by thirty minutes of pure entertainment and emotions. Zacon Giò's greeting to the Naples public, this year on his leave from racing, at the end of a career as a multiple champion with one million and 700 thousand euros in sums won, the record of 1.09.3 on the short distance and 1.10 on the long distance and the victories in the International Trot 2019 and the Lotteria 2020. Then the traditional greeting of the drivers of the horses participating in the grand prize on board the vintage cars, true jewels of the Casco Azzurro Motor Club and the parade of the 9 finalist horses to the musical notes of the prestigious Carabinieri Fanfare on Horseback directed by Commander Fabio Tassinari.
The SMA General Staff of the Air Force will be present with the institutional stand to promote the values, role and image of the AM according to the evolutionary lines of the company, which will collect a recognition conferred by the Ippodromi Partenopei.
The whole day will find space on the EquTV broadcaster, channels 220 of the Sky Sport bouquet and 151 of digital terrestrial, at the microphones of Gigio Rosa, radio host, Luigi Migliaccio, journalist and Claudia Ruffo, godmother and actress in many successful Rai productions, who will share the grand prix stage for hosting the sporting afternoon.
Also in the lineup is the lifetime achievement award to Antonio Luongo, celebrated in the US Naples, the undisputed and historic protagonist of Italian horse racing with the standard bearer of the Feystongal team, an unforgettable pairing, winners of the major group races including the Italian Trotting Derby.
The link with the city and with the significant realities of the territory will also be represented by the synergies implemented by the Ippodromi Partenopei company with other important sports clubs such as the Tennis Club Napoli, with the awarding of the very young champions of tournaments and regional circuits on red clay in the international showcase of the Lottery, and the consolidated partnership with Gevi Napoli Basket, recent winner of the Italian Cup after 18 years, which provides free entry to the grand prize for all holders of a season ticket or ticket for the Gevi Napoli Basket-Scafati match of 05/05/2024 as well as a stand inside the racecourse which will give an entry ticket for the same match to the first 100 paying people of the Lottery grand prize of 01/05/2024.
The trotting meeting: 29, 30 April, 1 May
To open the three days of trotting, on Monday 29 April (14.30pm free entry) there is the Gentlemen's Day with the Owners Cup Andrea Masella Trophy in memory of the president of the Gentlemen Drivers Club Campania (international for horses aged 4 years and over €33.000 meters 1600 in two heats and final on the day of the Lottery) and the tris-quarté-quinté Memorial Gianni Castelluccio (international for 5 years and over 1600 metres).
Tuesday 30 (free entry at 14.30pm) the exciting Speed Race Memorial Emilio Giugliano returns, international test over 200 meters in heats and final, in addition to the Carmine Di Vincenzo prize in memory of the "baron of the trot", a true institution at the Agnano racecourse and everywhere on the trotting tracks of the world where he was appreciated for his talent as a gentleman driver and owner, a multiple winner in his career and for his aristocratic ways.
Wednesday 1 May (13.50pm entry €5,00) the three heats of the grand prix of 8 horses each (2nd, 3rd and 4th race at 14.30pm, 15.00pm and 15.30pm €25.300 each) which will qualify the 9 horses admitted to the final (8th race at 18.00pm €660.000 reserved for the first three classified in each heat) and the consolation (7th race at 17.15pm €40.040 reserved for horses excluded from the final), Sèazio also for the two big prizes of group 2, Regione Campania Females ( 5th, 16.05) and males (6th, 16.40) for 4-year-old European horses over 2100 meters and €66.000 each. of prize money at the finish line.
Fundraising in favor of SHRO for scientific research, patron Claudia Ruffo
The area reserved for guests of the grand prix returns to being an opportunity for solidarity and glamor with the charity in favor of the SHRO Sbarro Health Research Organization, a non-profit organization for genetic research in the diagnosis and treatment of cancer, founded and directed by the researcher Antonio Giordano director of the Sbarro Institute for Cancer Research and Molecular Medicine and of the Center for Biotechnology at Temple University in Philadelphia.
Godmother of the SHRO charity and the Grand Prize Lottery is Claudia Ruffo, film and television actress, protagonist of numerous successful RAI productions.
Horseshoes with the tricolor ribbon will be the cadeau for the guests in the club house committed to donating to the charitable cause while ten lucky ladies, selected from the guests and the public in the stands, will be rewarded for the most elegant and original hats with the plaque “hats please”.
A portion of the proceeds from the sale of tickets for the grand prix will be donated to the charity.

Color and folklore for the public in the stands with the presence of the "Team Cheer Dance" girls who will wave the flags of the countries of the competing horses and the "Flag-wavers and Musici Città Regia" group with 25 elements including flag-wavers, drummers, clarinists and banner holders in seventeenth-century style costumes as well as the musical instruments of the time with hand-built drums and fretless clarions: a particular show with movements from the scenic transposition of what were the figurations of the "war flag bearers" of the time, admired in every square of Italy.
Free activities for children: entertainment in clown costume, balloon sculptures, artistic child make-up and music (12.00/17.00).
The Casco Azzurro Motor Club, an association of motoring enthusiasts presided over by the knight Paolo Scudieri, gentleman driver and president of the Sports Commission of the Automobile Club Napoli, will bring about ten historic cars to the racecourse, jewels of motoring which will accompany the Lotteria drivers on the stage of the grand prix for the greeting of the public in the stands. The vintage cars can be admired to discover the values of quality Made in Italy, which marked the technical, industrial, social and economic evolution of the country and which also recall the Formula 1 Naples Grand Prix which took place until 1962 on the hills of Posillipo, reformulated this year on April 14th on the seafront thanks to the Napoli Racing Show chaired by Crescenzo Rivellini and twinned with the Lotteria di Agnano. Among the most valuable pieces, the presence of Ferrari, Lamborghini, Jaguar and Maserati stands out, driven by their respective owners, all gentlemen-drivers who will also wear overalls and helmets for the occasion.
Musical guest is the tenor Giuseppe Gambi.

Food points will be active for the public. Parterre-park-grandstand area: pizzeria with wood-fired oven and snack bar, while in the Partenope roof garden of the authority grandstand the restaurant is active in a reserved area only by reservation with formula all inclusive: entrance to the grand prix from the "guests' reserved" gate, access to the reserved Partenope roof garden area, table overlooking the slopes, lunch with complete menu, TV and services ([email protected] 340 961 42 70 – complete menu € 60 pp. adults and children).
