“2 million and 200 thousand euros have been allocated to modernize Italian racecourses. The Ministry of Economy and Finance, upon request of the general directorate for horse racing, has granted, exceptionally, an additional allocation of investment funds of approximately 2.200.000,00 euros for the technological modernization of racecourses. These funds can be committed and liquidated starting immediately. Technically, these are capital resources, additional to those in the budget law and therefore, from 44 million and 400 thousand euros, we move on to global financing for racetracks of 46 million and 600 thousand euros". These are the first statements of the undersecretary of Masaf, senator Patrick La Pietra (in the photo), in commenting on the allocation of funds to support the technological innovation of Italian racecourses.

“The racing companies will have the obligation to report, also in this case, the resources assigned and the same may be useful for improving the attractiveness characteristics envisaged in the imminently issued racecourse classification decree”, concluded La Pietra.
