The decree for the recognition of racing companies for the year 2024 has been published by Masaf and is now being brought to the attention of the competent control bodies for the continuation of the process. The undersecretary Patrick La Pietra (in the photo) commented on this fundamental step to draw up the racing calendars and allow the interested parties to adequately plan: "The recognition of the racing companies, still in the registration phase, is the necessary prerequisite for the agreement, the programming of the racing calendar, the hypotheses of which are being studied by the competent general management and for the acceptance of bets within the racecourses, once the recognition decree is notified by the same ministry to the customs and monopolies agency. To date we are awaiting the definition of the assignments for Rome by the Municipality, which it must be remembered has exclusive competence, to complete the national picture. Regarding the Rome racecourse, in recognizing its historical value for the sector, we hope that the Municipality will resolve the issue quickly, also for the due respect and protection of the workers of the respective structures".
