“It should be noted that there is currently no branch office of the monopolies in the city of Arezzo or Siena; therefore, the establishment of a single ADM Office with expertise in the field of monopolies would be very complex (if not objectively impossible to implement in the short term), given that the staff currently employed in that city have never developed expertise in the field of games and tobacconists, as these are activities carried out in other locations in the region. The Arezzo Customs Office is, at the moment, already the territorial headquarters with the least organizational development within its region and this generates an important constraint in terms of technical and organizational projection precisely for the care of new subjects such as games and tobacco ”.

The undersecretary of the Mef said this in the Finance Committee of the Chamber, Federico Freni (in the photo), responding to the question first signed by Merola (PD-IDP) in which information was requested relating to the reorganization plan of the offices of the Customs and Monopolies Agency, with particular reference to the Arezzo Customs Office.
