Horse racing, undersecretary La Pietra: "Agreement between the Municipality of Rome and the manager, Masaf ready to schedule Capannelle"

“We note that the Municipality of Rome and Hippogroup, protagonists of the Capannelle affair, have finally found the square regarding the management of the Roman racecourse for 2024. News that the workers of the plant, the related industries and all of us at Masaf have been waiting for for some time, hoping for a positive solution. For two months the Masaf has been ready to schedule the Capannelle races and now, after a long wait, a very long one for all those involved in the sector and for horse racing enthusiasts, we can immediately proceed to include Rome in the calendar too. All that remains is to hope that this unpleasant situation will not repeat itself in less than a year and we trust that all interested parties will work to outline a practicable and certain path for the future of Roman horse racing as soon as possible".
