Lombardy, from the Region a voucher of 200 euros per month to pathological gamblers

(Jamma) "We want to give a concrete and effective response to those who are suffering, to those who are fragile, to those who are in difficulty and have no other means than public help and this, with which we are allocating 50 million, is the first of this great project to support our welfare system". He explained it president of the Lombardy Region Roberto Maroni, speaking at the Pio Albergo Trivulzio – together with theCouncilor for Family, Social Solidarity and Volunteering, Cristina Cantù – the presentation of the first implementing decree of the 'Regional Fund to support the family and its most fragile members', an implementing decree through which 50 million euros are allocated to support around 15 people, in particular minors with difficulties, individuals with physical disabilities or mental and non self-sufficient elderly people, who today do not have access to the social-health network of services.

The plan also provides for the taking charge and treatment of people affected by pathological gambling (gambling disorders) with vouchers worth 200 euros per month and an awareness and information campaign for prevention.

In short, a little help, decidedly modest compared to what the Region spends every month on the annuities of former councilors. The region led until a few months ago by Roberto Formigoni and now by the Northern League Roberto Maroni delivers over 620.000 euros per month in annuities. The pensions of former regional councilors have indeed been canceled by law number 13 of 2011, but only for the newly elected. Not for all the others, despite the fact that on June 24 the classroom approved, on a proposal from the Democratic Party, an agenda that called for a 20 percent cut even on pensions already paid.
