Global leader in betting integrity enters into strategic alliance with crypto technology operator PlayPause®

The International Betting Integrity Association (IBIA) today announced a new partnership with data security and analytics company IXUP to facilitate collaboration between two market-leading providers that protect the integrity and social responsibility of sports betting ecosystems. The two parties will explore integrity compliance products and services that aim to improve the protection of the US sports betting landscape, in particular by creating better informed operators, regulators and sports governing bodies.

Through this alliance, IBIA will promote IXUP's PlayPause® crypto matching network to its U.S. operators, further establishing PlayPause® as the athlete identification and involuntary exclusion program for professional sports leagues. In turn, IXUP will promote IBIA's gold-standard integrity monitoring solution through its long-standing relationships with U.S. sports betting operators, regulators, sports leagues and teams .

“This partnership allows each party to potentially incorporate the other's relationships, technology and best practices, both in identifying suspicious betting activity and in crypto matching and identifying individuals excluded who bet in violation of sporting rules. Both IXUP and IBIA recognize the critical importance of maintaining integrity in US sports betting, and we will continue to explore new technologies and collaborative solutions to support operators in this regard,” he said Khaled Ali (pictured), CEO of IBIA.

Through this partnership, the parties can also explore the provision of complementary services to other entities in the sports betting ecosystem, such as sports governing bodies and teams. As IXUP is charged with providing and managing voluntary exclusion programs on behalf of regulators, this initiative will further IBIA's goal of monitoring the integrity of betting across the United States.

IBIA is licensed throughout the United States and provides integrity monitoring services to member operators representing more than 70% of U.S. sports betting.

IXUP operates BetStopTM – the National Self-Exclusion Registry, on behalf of the Australian Federal Government, which is the centralized national self-exclusion registry and service that protects vulnerable patrons, whilst ensuring adherence to stringent data privacy laws, in all the 150 authorized online sports betting operators. In parallel to the Australian rollout, IXUP is in active discussions to engage operators, regulators and sports leagues in a US pilot project, called PlayPause®, to aggregate states' voluntary exclusion lists and sports involuntary exclusion lists in a single real-time API, improving matching accuracy and reducing false positives, without ever revealing the underlying data to network collaborators.

“The IBIA and IXUP share a common approach to help stakeholders make your disparate, competitive and sensitive datasets more useful for industry collaboration and to improve the integrity of the sports betting ecosystem,” he said Kevin Vonasek of PlayPause® at a recent IBIA meeting between sports leagues, US operators and federal authorities in New York -. We are not here to point fingers or smear your names in the press. We don't want to know your data, nor should we ever see it. We are simply a B2B crypto matching service that helps operators, regulators and leagues identify, investigate and ultimately prevent betting activities that are in direct conflict with our industry's rules and codes of conduct.”
