Police, checks in Gioia Tauro (RC): 6 PCs seized in a slot room, fines of 60 thousand euros

In the period between the end of last year and the first months of 2024, the police officers on duty at the Administrative Police Office of the PS Commissariat of Gioia Tauro, together with specialized personnel from the local Port Authority, carried out targeted activities aimed at to the control of commercial activities dedicated to the sale and supply of fresh fish foods. In the end, the control activity also concerned the fight against gambling addiction, which led to the seizure of six computers inside a slot room in the Municipality of Gioia Tauro and the application of administrative sanctions for a total of 60.000 euros. In addition to checks on commercial activities, the staff also carried out a thorough check on holders of weapons and ammunition, proceeding with the referral of a citizen to the AG for failure to keep weapons and with the withdrawal of all weapons legally held by him.
