The officials of the Customs and Monopolies Agency (ADM), serving at the Monopolies Office for Sardinia, have seized two personal computers found inside a public business located in the municipality of Sestu (CA), which allowed connect to gaming sites without authorization from ADM.

In the games room, inside which there were amusement machines regularly connected to the ADM telematic network, there was an area separated by a panel where Personal computers were positioned, two of which allowed connection to unauthorized gaming sites which reproduced the typical games of amusement machines, casinos and video poker, in total tax evasion due to the State.

The equipment was subjected to administrative seizure and the operator was accused of violating the art. 110, paragraph 9, letter. f-quater TULPS (gaming machines that do not comply with the characteristics referred to in paragraphs 6 and 7 of art. 110 TULPS) by providing administrative fines of €20.000. In case of failure to pay, the business will also be closed for a period of 30 to 60 days, as well as the confiscation of the devices and any sums contained therein.

Furthermore, the making available to the public of equipment which, through the electronic connection, allows playing on gaming platforms, both of concessionaires and of subjects without a concessionary title, involves the violation of the provisions contained in the Table of Prohibited Games of the Police Commissioner of the Metropolitan City of Cagliari, dedicated to gaming operators.

The operation is the result of the constant intelligence activity and surveillance of the territory by officials of the Customs and Monopolies Agency.
