The trial relating to the contribution for access to the historic center of Venice will start on 25 April 2024, for 29 non-consecutive days until 14 July.
The establishment of the entrance fee to Venice - provided for by National Law no. 145 of 2018 - aims, among other things, to regulate the excursion phenomenon of Venice, discouraging unscheduled daily visits, in order to raise the quality level of the guests' visiting experience and improve the use of the city by different city-users.
Thanks to the agreement between Vela spa – a company of the AVM Group appointed by the Municipality of Venice for communication and sales activities of the access fee – and Servizi in Rete 2001 – a company of the Italian Tobacconists Federation – in all over 30.000 PuntoLis tobacconists in Italy it will be possible to purchase the entrance fee to Venice conveniently and in advance, with a view to simplifying services for citizens.
The access fee, at a cost of 5 euros per day, will be requested from visitors who do not fall within the cases of exclusion and exemption identified by the Municipality of Venice, identified only by way of example as daily visitors who do not stay in structures of the Municipality of Venice or who are not residents in Veneto.
Exempt people will instead have to register on the portal https://cda.ve.it.
This strengthens the partnership between the Municipality of Venice, through its subsidiary Vela spa, and the Tobacconists Federation, already active for years for the sale of local public transport tickets. An additional service that will allow you to purchase the title throughout the national territory, thus facilitating payment operations. PuntoLis tobacconists throughout Italy will issue codes (QR codes) to be shown in the event of checks.
