The Green Berets of the Compagnia Pronto Impiego of Venice, as part of the constant control activities of the territory aimed at preventing and repressing the dealing and consumption of narcotic substances in the historic center of Venice, on the evening of November 23rd, near via Giuseppe Garibaldi, recognized and stopped four young Tunisians who all appeared to have no documents.
The subsequent investigations made it possible to find the existence of a tracing order relating to the execution of a precautionary custody order, related to specific precedents in the field of drug dealing, contested by the Carabinieri of Venice, which the Green Basques followed up with the arrest and translation to the Santa Maria Maggiore prison.
Another person stopped, without a regular residence permit and already reported for illegal immigration, was instead issued an invitation to present himself at the Immigration Office of the Venice Police Headquarters in order to regularize his position on the national territory.
Attributable to the other two subjects, already subjected respectively to the precautionary measures of the obligation to report to the police and the ban on residence in the province of Venice following various previous arrests for drug dealing, always carried out by the Green Basques and by the soldiers of the Operational Unit of the Carabinieri Company of Venice, investigative activities are underway.
In addition, again in the historic center of Venice, the Guardia di Finanza soldiers also carried out various interventions aimed at combating the phenomenon of abusive gambling carried out by the so-called box dealers, operating in the places of greatest transit of tourists, such as the Ponte degli Scalzi, where since the beginning of November, four individuals of Macedonian nationality and one Albanian have been surprised and sanctioned, all belonging to the same group that operates in that area.
Game "tools", such as boxes, balls and red cloth, were seized from offenders and fines of up to 500 euros were imposed.
