GEF and IESF agree to collaborate on key initiatives for expansive growth

Following the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between the presidents of the Global Esports Federation and the International Esports Federation, the Esports Leadership Group (ELG) was established to facilitate collaboration.

The ELG is chaired by the Vice President of the International Olympic Committee, Ser Miang Ng, an established leader in the worlds of sport, business and diplomacy, with His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Sultan Al Saud, President of the International Federation of Esports, and Chris Chan, President of the Global Esports Federation.

Ser Miang Ng, president of the Esports Leadership Group, expressed his enthusiasm: “We are entering an exciting phase in the development of eSports, including the recent announcement by the IOC on the Olympic Esports Games and diverse content offerings around the world. The collaboration of efforts and work between GEF and IESF will contribute to the global development of eSports and the prospect of collaborating with the International Olympic Committee and sport".

"The connection between eSports and sports will create unlimited opportunities for young people around the world, capitalizing on the innovation of eSports and the values ​​of sports. It is a privilege and a pleasure for me to work with HRH Prince Faisal and Chris Chan in this exciting venture", he added.

The ELG will establish a series of working groups focused on implementing the principles outlined in the MoU into a series of tangible initiatives.
