The International Esports Federation (IESF) is excited to announce a record 130 member federations registered for the 2024 World Esports Championship national qualifiers. For the first time, a total of 609 teams will compete in five game titles representing their villages. The national qualifiers are underway starting January 16 and are expected to be among the most competitive yet.

Last year's incredible competition and participation at the WEC in Iasi, Romania was a key indicator that the 16th edition of the WEC in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia will be even more massive.

IESF General Secretary Boban Totovski said"We are amazed but not surprised by the number of Member Federations registered for this year's National Qualifiers. It just shows the growth of the organization, the progress made by the Federations and the eSports ecosystem. Starting from the qualifiers, our goal is to guarantee the best conditions and allow players to represent their countries in the best possible way. We hope that with more players and teams this year the competition reaches its full potential and becomes the biggest international eSports event ever".

National qualifiers will officially kick off WEC24 and determine which teams will represent their countries in the regional qualifiers, which begin in June. The qualification process will include PC, mobile and console games.
