All that's missing is popcorn to enjoy the show and then, for Oscar night, almost everything is ready. However, the public, professionals and Hollywood seem not to have found a way to get along: between great joys and great disappointments, the 96th edition is predicted to be one of the most exciting. Second the Sisal experts in fact, there will be things on which we will really have to reduce our expectations because it is (almost) impossible for them to happen.

Any examples? Here you are the 5 victories we will have to give up:

  • Ryan Gosling aka Ken Best Supporting Actor. We all remember how he sided against the Academy for the exclusion of Margot Robbie from the Oscars, today with his victory given at odds of 9,00, the actor seems to have another reason to "thunder";
  • perfect days by Wim Wenders – currently listed at 16,00 – Best Foreign Film. Acclaimed by critics and the public for having taught us that "less is more" is the secret to happiness, the German director's film will nevertheless remain a success and perhaps the film we all needed this year;
  • America Ferrera Best Supporting Actress. Despite being offered at 20,00, we will continue to celebrate her for her performance and one of the most intense monologues that cinema has given us in recent years;
  • Best Animated Film: Elemental. A victory for Disney Pixar's latest masterpiece Elemental – in which a non-binary character appears for the first time – is priced at 33,00;
  • Best Special Effects for Mission Impossible – Dead Reckoning. The last chapter of the Ethan Hunt saga, despite having left audiences speechless as always in theaters all over the world, did not do the same with the Academy. His victory is given at odds of 50,00.

On the other hand, we will have the opportunity to rejoice for some of this year's most loved titles which confirm themselves to be the favorites in the race. So what are the 5 certainties of the 2024 Oscars?

  • Oppenheimer, at the top of the predictions for 8 statuettes out of 12 nominations: Best Director (1,05), Best Film (1,08) Best Actor (1,10) Best Supporting Actor, Best Soundtrack (1,05) Best Photography (1,08) Best Sound (1,40) and Best Editing (1,08);
  • Lily gladstone win the Oscar like Best Actress for his extraordinary performance in Killers of the Flower Moon. His triumph is given at 1,50;
  • Poor Creatures, with 11 nominations, may be Oppenheimer's only true opponent. Yorge Lanthimos' latest masterpiece could take home the Best Costumes (2,10), the Best Scenography (1,50) and the Best Makeup and Hairstyle (2,50) and Emma Stone could also steal the statuette as Best Actress (2,00);
  • Da'Vine Joy Randolph win the recognition of Best Supporting Actress – offered at 1,05 – for his performance in The Holdovers by Alexander Payne;
  • Anatomy of a Fall gets the Oscar for Best Original Screenplay (1,25) thanks to the masterful work done by Justine Triet and Arthur Harari.

There are about 48 hours left to listen to the highly anticipated “And The Winner Is…”. We just have to wait, sure that this year too the night of the Oscars will once again make all fans of the big screen talk and excite.
