Teramo. Majority and opposition together against the game

(Jamma) Majority and minority, together, to counter the spread of legalized gambling. PD and PDL presented two agendas on the subject and the Council decided to vote on both.
The agendas will be sent to the President of the Republic and to the Minister of the Interior to ask for the application of restrictive measures against "legalized" gambling and to prevent pathological gambling which is creating enormous social and pathological damage: slot machines, scratch cards, etc. etc. often accessible even to minors.
On the agenda of the councilors of the Democratic Party, Verrocchio and Di Sabatino, it is proposed to "open a provincial table made up of all the Municipalities ... inviting them to adhere to the Mayors' Manifesto for the legality against gambling" manifesto to which they joined 204 administrations in Italy.

Furthermore, the Provincial Council will ask the Government to apply restrictive measures to make it "impossible for minors to access scratch cards rather than gambling and slot machines and online games". the councilors ask that the "decree law 158 of 2012 be implemented because to date local authorities are not entitled to adopt measures that govern the matter since the same is to be considered the exclusive competence of the central State" while "it would be absolutely necessary to integrate the provisions contained in the law decree and insert a specific regulation regarding the minimum distances of gaming premises with respect to schools, for example, regarding the opening hours of these activities and, equally necessary, it is to delegate to local authorities the possibility of concrete interventions with specific regulations".
