The proposed resolution by the president - as rapporteur - Massimo Garavaglia (Lega) was approved in the Finance Commission, according to which with reference to ADM "on the public gaming front, the choices that will be made for the reform in implementation of the delegation can be successful or not in relation to the Agency's ability to efficiently and effectively manage these processes"

In yesterday's session in the Senate Finance Committee, the examination of the "Assigned business relating to the policy document concerning the developments of fiscal policy, the general lines and objectives of tax management, the financial quantities and other conditions in the which the activity of the tax agencies develops, for the years 2024-2026".

During the discussion the M5S senator, Mario Turco (in the photo), presented and illustrated a proposal alternative resolution to that of the president - as rapporteur - Massimo Garavaglia in which, with reference to the scope of activity of the Customs and Monopolies Agency, he noted that "the measures adopted so far have facilitated access to online gaming, also through the facilitation of the opening and management of gaming accounts, through the configuration of a widespread network of top-up points". Turco therefore judged it "essential to adopt measures that focus on the protection of the player's health, in order to avoid compulsive gambling behaviors".

In the text of alternative resolution proposal signed by Turco, Croatti and Barbara Floridia (M5S), which was rejected, we read the following: “Con reference to the activity of the Customs and Monopolies Agency, the control of the body aimed at raising the quality of the public game, protect vulnerable people and combat illegal gambling. As is known, the entire matter of public gaming is currently being reorganized as part of the measures implementing the delegation. It should be noted, however, that the measures adopted so far end up greatly facilitating access to online gaming also by facilitating the opening and management of gaming accounts, through the configuration of a widespread network of top-up points and the provision of services. accessories to online gaming, both through the provision of identification tools that are inadequate to exclude minors and vulnerable subjects from access to gaming. It appears essential to adopt both regulatory and control measures by the relevant bodies, which put the player and the protection of his health at the center in order to avoid compulsive gambling behaviors".

At the end of the session it was the motion for a resolution by the president - as rapporteur - Garavaglia was approved, In which as mentioned yesterday we read the following: “On the front of public games, the choices that will be made for the reform to implement the delegation may be successful or unsuccessful in relation to the ability of the Agency (ADM, ed.) to manage these processes efficiently and effectively".
