Liguria. The PSI declares war on slot machines
Pucci (ASTRO): Before investing, the operator must demand a solemn act of clarity from the institutions
Genoa. Green light to the anti-slot regulation
Monza. The IDV presents a motion for the approval of the quality mark for no-slot venues
(Jamma) "While waiting to be able to examine in detail the contents of the new regulation approved in Genoa on 30 April last, we note that the only "concession" that has been made to the sector is to be able to continue working, avoiding the risk – which for many was becoming concrete – of closing the business with consequent job losses” says Massimiliano Pucci, vice president of Confindustria Sistema Gioco Italia, who adds: “If what emerged from the press is confirmed, the suspension of all decisions for the next four years will prevent operators from making correct distribution planning and will make investments, envisaged by recent regulations, aimed at making appliances increasingly safe and controllable, extremely problematic. I also want to remind you that approving measures on the presence of amusement arcades and amusement machines at a local level, even before the rules envisaged by the Balduzzi decree on these points are defined at a national level, could lead to a conflict between national and local laws, a sort of short-circuit between the central State and local authorities with consequent disputes and recourses harmful to all. I believe that every decision on the regulation of this sector which – I remind you – made it possible to make gaming safe and transparent with the great operation to bring illegal gaming to the surface launched in 2003, cannot be taken unilaterally as happened in Genoa, but must always foresee the involvement of AAMS and operators. For our part, we can only continue to confirm our full willingness to participate in the next working tables."
