Yesterday, at the Sports Commission of Rome Capital, the topic of the Capannelle Hippodrome was addressed to take stock of the situation from both a management and administrative point of view. The councilor spoke on the topic Nando Bonessio, president of the Commission: “The issue of the Capitoline sports facility of Municipality VII is a question which gives rise to many concerns which have been partly dispelled by the technicians of the Sports Department. Precisely on this occasion, in fact, the offices assured that they are working on the approval of the public notice. At the same time, reassuring news has arrived for all workers, both those directly employed by the concessionaire and those related to it, who at least for this year, i.e. until 31 December, are not at risk of losing their jobs. Furthermore, in order not to interrupt the service that this historic facility guarantees to citizens, as the Sports Commission we have asked that the continuation of some specific activities be ensured such as hippotherapy and pet therapy, the initiation of the practice of athletics by the Roma Road Runners Club company and the game of cricket, an activity with a very low environmental impact and a cultural expression of a community of people increasingly present in our territory".
