Lazio region. Bipartisan bill on gambling introduced

(Jamma) "The by now widespread addiction to gambling is a constantly increasing phenomenon also due to pervasive advertising, an increasingly varied offer that covers the entire span of the day and the ease with which you can access it. The scientific community now considers gambling as a real form of 'addiction without drugs'. This was stated by Olimpia Tarzia, president of the council group Lista Storace in the Lazio Region and first signatory of the bill 'Provisions for the prevention and treatment of pathological gambling'. Tarzia underlines the need for “the regions to adopt legislation that contrasts the expansion of the phenomenon. The Lazio Region has received this cry of alarm and I am particularly pleased that in our Region there is bipartisan sharing on this issue, as demonstrated by the signing of my bill by group leaders and numerous councilors from both the majority and the minority. I trust that the bill will be approved in the Chamber as soon as possible".
