“A sector that can be profitable must be able to produce and this applies to agriculture but also to horse racing”. The Minister of Agriculture said it yesterday - as reported by Ansa - Francesco Lollobrigida (in the photo), on the sidelines of presentation at Masaf of the Horse Racing Unit of the Forestry, Environmental and Agri-Food Unit Command of the Carabinieri.

“In recent years, agriculture has been substantially reversed in these factors – said the minister – I have never heard a serious farmer say 'I don't want to work'. In recent years, Europe, in the name of environmental sustainability, has put in place a series of regulations that have decreased production and therefore also subsidies. I'm certainly not saying that we shouldn't help farmers, of course with what they've been through – he added – but they must be put in a position to produce. And this also applies to horse racing which is not a sector that cannot sustain itself, but is not sustaining itself in Italy with a model which unfortunately is illogical; Unite was dissolved because there were internal problems. This was the problem of a serious and intelligent structure that other countries instead knew how to modernize."
