As part of the examination of the "State budget forecast for the financial year 2024 and multi-year budget for the three-year period 2024-2026" in the Senate Budget Committee, amendment 39.7 was declared inadmissible - due to problems of financial coverage presented by the 5 Star Movement which asked to prohibit the placement of slots and paragraph 7 A devices in premises located less than 300 meters (for municipalities with up to 5 thousand inhabitants) and 500 meters (for municipalities with over 5 thousand inhabitants) from a series of sensitive places.
The full text of the amendment follows:
“After paragraph 1 insert the following: «1-bis. To protect certain categories of vulnerable subjects and to prevent gambling disorder, the placement of gaming machines referred to in article 110, paragraph 6, letters a) and b), and paragraph 7, letter a) is prohibited. , of the consolidated text referred to in the royal decree of 18 June 1931, n. 773, in premises located at a distance, measured based on the shortest pedestrian route, of less than 300 meters for municipalities with a population of up to 5.000 inhabitants and no less than 500 meters for municipalities with a population of more than 5.000 inhabitants from institutions schools of all types and levels, training centers for young people and adults, places of worship, sports facilities, hospitals, residential or semi-residential structures operating in the healthcare or social-health sector, accommodation facilities for protected categories, places of youth gathering and oratories, and at a distance of less than 200 meters from electronic devices suitable for withdrawing cash or from commercial establishments carrying out the activities indicated in article 1, paragraph 2, of law 17 January 2000, n. 7. Municipalities may establish additional sensitive places or territorial distances greater than those prescribed by this article and consequently deny the authorization referred to in paragraph 1, taking into account the impact thereof on the urban context and urban safety or problems connected with traffic, noise pollution or disturbance of public peace and health. This is without prejudice to current regional laws or municipal regulations that are more restrictive than the constraints set out in this article."".
