Lombardy, the Regional Council opens its doors to a trader who reports critical issues on the removal of slots from his business

 

(Jamma) The Productive Activities Commission of the Lombardy Regional Council has included in the agenda of the meeting scheduled for today the hearing of an operator who denounces critical issues regarding the removal of gaming machines from his public establishment. An act due by the Administration which in recent weeks has approved, unanimously, a bill which introduces heavy restrictions on the installation of gaming machines in public establishments and which allows access to tax incentives for those who decide to renounce this gaming offer.

 

At the conclusion of the hearing, the Commission decided "to ask for a discussion with Sisal and with the State Monopolies to acquire information about the contractual arrangements that bind traders who decide to install the devices connected to the two companies in their premises". The criticisms expressed by the operator in fact pertain to the clauses set out in the company contracts and the penalties that the operators should pay in the event of withdrawal. Commission president Angelo Ciocca recalled that "the Customs and Monopolies Agency may not be excluded".
