Stability Law in the Chamber. Amendment on resources to Municipalities from slots

(Jamma) From resource game taxes to municipalities. «Align the taxation on legal gambling and allocate resources to the National Fund for social policies in favor of the Municipalities» in order to «meet the administrations thrown into uncertainty by the unclear procedure for the abolition of the IMU on first homes for 2013". It is the objective of an amendment to the Stability Law by the deputies of the Democratic Party Luigi Bobba and Michele Anzaldi among the 3.000 presented yesterday in the Budget Commission. The text provides for «the downward alignment of the premiums paid to concessionaires, in particular for Lotto and Superenalotto, and the modification of the measure of the single tax levy in order to equalize the rate applied to video lottery machines to that of newslots, more commonly known as slot machines».

Below is the text of the amendment:

"The Ministry of the Economy and Finance - Autonomous Administration of State Monopolies, with its own executive decrees adopted within sixty days of the date of entry into force of this law, orders the downward alignment of the recognized to the various concessionaires, with particular reference to the game of Lotto and that of the SuperEnalotto. The same decrees also provide for the modification of the single tax levy in order to equalize the rate applied to the appliances referred to in article 110, paragraph 6, letter b), of Royal Decree no. 773 of 1931 (so-called videolottery – VLT) to that of the machines referred to in article 110, paragraph 6, letter a), of Royal Decree no. 773 of 1931 (so-called newslot - AWP), applying the percentage established by article 5, paragraph 2 of the AAMS directorial decree of 12 October 2011, GU n. 265 of 14 November 2011. The increased revenue deriving from this paragraph is wholly attributed to the increase in the quotas foreseen for the national fund for social policies, pursuant to article 59, paragraph 44, of the law of 27 December 1997, n. 449, and subsequent amendments".
