(Jamma) – The single tax levy applied to 'paragraph 6' gaming machines will increase to 14% starting from 1 January 2014. This is what is provided for in an article of the maxi-amendment to the Stability decree on which the government has placed its trust in the Senate.

In fact, the provision provides for an amendment to "article 39 paragraph 13 of decree law 30 September 2003 n.269 and subsequent amendments by replacing the words "a levy of 13,5% of the sums played is applied", with the words "a fixed levy is applied "to the extent of 14 percent of the sums played".

The news intervenes on a text prior to the device currently in force for the regulation of the tax regime of the Newslots. The fact is significant of the confusion that dwells in the minds of government officials and technicians of the Ministry of Finance.

The Senate floor voted confidence in the government on the maxi-amendment replacing the stability law: 171 yes, 135 no and no abstentions at the end of a very tense session and a day marked by the transition of Forza Italia to the opposition. Now the law is being examined by the Chamber of Deputies.
