In the session on Friday 29 December, the Chamber Assembly definitively approved - with 200 votes in favor and 112 against - the bill "State budget forecast for the financial year 2024 and multi-year budget for the three-year period 2024-2026 ”. The law was then published in the Official Gazette no. 303 of 30 December 2023.
The text also contains some references to the gaming sector. In particular, we read the following: "The Minister of Economy and Finance, with his own decrees, provides, in the financial year 2024, for the adjustment of the allocations of the chapters intended for the payment of prizes and winnings from prediction games, betting and lotteries, in correspondence with the actual trend of the related collections. (...) The sums allocated on chapter 2295 of the estimate of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Forests, intended for interventions already under the responsibility of the abolished Agency for the Development of the Horse Racing Sector, for the financing of the prize pool of the races, in case of failure to adopt the decree provided for by article 1, paragraph 281, of law 30 December 2004, n. 311, or, in any case, pending its issuance, constitute the determination of the share of state and non-state revenue deriving from public games with cash winnings entrusted under concession to the State pursuant to paragraph 282 of the same article 1 of the aforementioned law no. . 311 of 2004".
