“Countries like France, England, Spain and Germany see the world of gaming and e-sports as a great opportunity for the country, while in Italy this is not yet recognized. The lack of regulation and timidity in investing in this market lead many people to consider e-sports a passion rather than a job, so many find themselves having to go abroad. From the outside the sector is seen very much like those who play video games, in reality the figure of the pro player is much more. There are many hours of work and study, surrounded by great mental stress. My request is to help turn this passion into an opportunity, especially because esports is growing more and more and is no longer simple entertainment. Italy must not let this opportunity slip away, otherwise it would lose a lot from a social and economic point of view."

He said so Daniela Vrabie (in the photo), professional e-sports player, heard by the joint Culture and Labor Committees of the Chamber on the resolution concerning the introduction of an e-sports discipline.
