Imu decree; it's a controversy about roofing. For the Democratic Party, the slot amnesty is 'ethically unbearable'

(Jamma) The assault on the Imu decree begins even before it lands in Parliament: the cover identified by the government to raise the resources necessary for the abolition of the tax, as requested by the Pdl, is in the sights. It is in particular the amnesty for slot machines that has aroused criticism and the announcement of parliamentary battles.

The controversy, born in the Pd house, concerns the revenue chapter, with the amnesty of the approximately 2,5 billion that the companies that manage the slot machines owe to the State, from which the government aims to immediately obtain 600 million: a norm " ethically unbearable” says Margherita Miotto (in the picture), supported by Laura Garavini, Pd group leader in the Anti-Mafia commission. The president of the Budget commission, Francesco Boccia, invites us to avoid preventive controversies, because even in the past the coverages have been modified by Parliament. And the Undersecretary to the Presidency, Giovanni Legnini, agrees on the possibility of changes. But the deputy economy minister, Stefano Fassina, warns: "the situation is very difficult, and only those who do not know the state budget can say that there are easy resources to recover". Also because if we want to avoid the VAT increase, we need other resources and other cuts. Legnini launches an "award" which however risks reopening the war between the PDL and Pd in Parliament: "Parliament should reflect on the fairness of the choices made on the Imu: it was taken away from me and I have a high income. Ask me for another contribution”.
