Stop the 'bazaar effect' in the centers of Bellaria and Igea Marina (RN), greater decorum and raising the quality of the products on sale, starting with Made in Italy: it is a new regulation in the area, ambitious and destined to be a watershed for the world of commerce of Bellaria Igea Marina, what will be put to the vote in the City Council on Monday. “The document that will be voted on in the City Council is the result of long work, lasting more than a year, conducted in close consultation with all the trade associations linked to trade – Confartigianato, Confcommercio, Confesercenti, CNA – and with spontaneous groups such as for example the Isola dei Platani Association and Viv'Igea”, explains Mayor Filippo Giorgetti. “We considered it essential”, he continues, “to strengthen the issue of protection and defense of decorum, coherently with the intensification of controls on trade carried out by the Municipal Police in the last twelve months. We believe that supporting our merchants and enhancing our natural shopping centers cannot ignore the aesthetic impact and quality of the goods on sale."

From the point of view of the regulatory chain, the regulation is underlying what has already been prescribed at a national, regional and even local level - see the Urban Police Regulation of the Municipality of Bellaria Igea Marina - along two lines: the theme of decorum and the discipline of so-called urban hubs. The latter, in particular, is the key aspect that led to the perimeter of the areas of interest, from now on formally identified as 'natural shopping centres': viale Ennio; viale Ovidio; viale Paolo Guidi, from via Perugia in its entirety to via Torre up to the intersection with via Arno, as well as the side streets of the avenue, for example via Adriatico and via Pascoli, up to the railway.

Il regulation provides that, starting from 1 June 2024, in the natural shopping centers of Bellaria Igea Marina, only activities which mainly carry out the marketing of certain products will be able to establish themselves: coming from a short or zero kilometer supply chain, linked to Made in Italy, typical craftsmanship, art and culture, quality food and wine. For example, activities such as slot rooms will be prohibited, gold buy-sell, the so-called money change and money transfer, wholesale trade, as well as those shops that offer an indistinct and generalized range of various products, perhaps at low cost, without any specialization. In short, the so-called bazaar shops.

La discipline, which obviously cannot be retroactive, will instead also concern "any expansions of activities already existing before 1 June 2024, possible integrations in the type of goods marketed by an already existing activity and temporary stores. Furthermore, the regulation contains a specific article which extends its scope to events, fairs and exhibitions organized within the three natural shopping centres: defining for street vendors and temporary sales", concludes the Mayor, "similar guidelines throughout and for everything prescribed for shops in fixed locations".
