“We are talking about an increasingly significant economic asset, which has an increasingly intense impact on our communities and our citizens. Various interests must be balanced: those of the citizen to be able to play freely, of increasingly professionalized entrepreneurial activities and of the State to find some more resources. With the delegated decree we managed to achieve a healthy balance of interests. We always start from the protection of the citizen. A pragmatic and I would say calm approach. We know that there will be a broad debate with regions and local authorities. We need responsibility."

He said so Marco Osnato (in the photo), deputy of Brothers of Italy and president of the Finance Commission of the Chamber, speaking at the round table "The sustainable future of gaming" as part of the Italian Gaming Expo & Conference underway in Rome.

“The Meloni Government is trying to stabilize the relationship between the State and citizens, both from a regulatory and fiscal point of view. The fact that a concession period of 9 years was chosen for online gaming highlights the intent to have long-lasting stability. The prejudice on the sector still partly remains, this is because gaming has a very strong impact on some social aspects. However, technological progress has been made which today allows us to move away from prejudice and into pragmatism. When it comes to prejudice, the dignity decree is the maximum form of prejudice. The advertising ban? In the delegated decree there is an opening on a form of institutional advertising", concluded Osnato.
