“The provisions of article 21, paragraph 4, first sentence, of the legislative decree of 1 June 2023, n. 61, converted, with amendments, by law 31 July 2023, n. 100, regarding games, also apply in the year 2024. The increased revenues deriving from the first period are allocated to the National Emergency Fund referred to in article 44 of the civil protection code referred to in the legislative decree of 2 January 2018, n. 1”. This is what we read in the draft decree milleproroghe today under consideration by the Council of Ministers.

The decree-law of 1 June 2023, n. 61, to which reference is made, provided the following: "In the year 2023, the Customs and Monopolies Agency, with its own executive decrees adopted within thirty days from the date of entry into force of this decree, establishes additional weekly draws of the game of the Lotto and the SuperEna gamelotto. The increased revenues deriving from the first period are destined to the Fund for national emergencies referred to in article 44 of the civil protection code referred to in legislative decree 2 January 2018, n. 1, to finance interventions in favor of the populations of the territories referred to in Annex 1 of this decree".
