Emilia Romagna, Pollastri (PdL) "Region considers IRAP increase for businesses with slots"

(Jamma) Among the policies that the Emilia-Romagna Region intends to adopt to combat gambling addiction, it could also consider raising the Irap for public establishments that host gambling machines.

That's what he proposes Andrea Pollastri (PDL) in an interpellation addressed to the Regional Council to find out if an increase in Irap of this type could be included. The councilor also asks the regional executive if and how it intends to support the associations that carry out voluntary prevention and help activities for people afflicted with gambling addiction and their families.

In support of his request, Pollastri cites the agenda approved by the Council of the Autonomous Province of Trento last July, regarding support for volunteering engaged in the treatment and prevention of gambling addiction. In this deed – recalls Pollastri – it is requested that “an increased IRAP be applied to public establishments that host gambling machines and that the extra revenue be destined to support the associations engaged in the treatment and prevention of gambling addiction”.
