Room. Tuci (Imp. Ippici Italiani): "The State leaves the design of horse racing bets in the hands of the sector"

(Jamma) “Horse racing is dying, bureaucracy is killing us, but politics can intervene if it wants to”. This is what Enrico Tuci of the Italian Horse Racing Entrepreneurs intervened on the occasion of the hearing before the Agriculture Commission of the Chamber of Horse Racing Associations.

“We are all united to find a solution to this situation, confident that this is truly the last resort. The Italian Equestrian Entrepreneurs was born in an attempt to overcome the errors produced by that bandwagon that was Unire, to recover those values that public management has denied us. Politics must help us. Alongside the supply chain there is also Confagricoltura which wants to support a sector based mainly on horse breeding. We need a relaunch produced by a radical reform that makes it possible, through a private system, to focus on free entrepreneurship in the sector.

We must all work together to make the sector self-sufficient, work on the emergence of undeclared work. We are responsible for our destiny, we want to favor meritocracy and competitiveness. We ask that the State leave the design of horse racing bets, the main sector of income for the sector, in the hands of the sector, to be distinguished from the insane pathology produced by the VLT and slot system.

Racecourses should be entertainment centers centered on the organization of events related to horse activities. The provision of other public gaming activities shall be separate from the core business. The well-being of the horse - concluded Tuci - must be primary for the entire supply chain, the only and main slogan to bring people closer to this wonderful sport".
