San Remo casino. No agreement between the unions; recourse to layoffs is increasingly probable

(Jamma) During the meeting, which lasted about 4 hours, which was held yesterday at the Sanremo casino, the workers' representatives divided into two opposing blocks (CGIL on one side and CISL, UIL, Ugl and Snalc on the other) are struggling to find the square.

The CGIL insists on following the path of solidarity contracts and is firmly against the application of incentivized exodus. On the contrary, she says she is increasingly convinced that the workforce can be streamlined by retiring those who have matured or are close to retirement.

The other trade union organizations distance themselves from this last hypothesis by unanimously declaring that they will never sign agreements that provide for the dismissal-mobility of even a single worker and believe that the guarantee of employment, subject to consensual resolutions, is essential. They also make the voluntary incentive outcome the only possible solution to avoid drastic cuts in workforces. Cisl, Uil, Ugl and Snalc say yes to solidarity contracts if it serves to balance the budget and save the company and employment from bankruptcy, noting that this type of contract is in any case more penalizing in economic terms.

In this regard, the big stumbling block is and remains a situation of great uncertainty and financial limitation because there is a lack of resources in the current year and for this reason they say they are open to signing a 'buffer' agreement. On the other front, that of companies, solidarity contracts are viewed negatively as they are more onerous and due to their effects (transformation of hourly profiles which provide for reductions in hours and pay) which would produce a drop in productivity and a consequent increase in need to further reduce personnel costs given the company's peculiarity. In conclusion, there is an air of crisis and, from many trade unions, it is openly declared that after the referendum outcome it is up to those who have supported theses contrary to the agreement that had been signed to propose new alternative paths and to propose feasible solutions capable of making sense to any agreement that has the approval of the base.

The game is open and the outcome uncertain because the situation is delicate and any stance could then condition the next moves and with this scenario, in the meantime the days go by and without an agreement between the parties, the mobility procedure with its 123 redundancies. The parties will meet again next Friday at 14 pm.
