Michigan commercial and tribal operators reported a total of $218,5 million in gross Internet gaming (iGaming) and sports betting revenue in February.

The monthly gross receipts of February totaled $188,0 million, the highest amount recorded to date. The previous high was $181,9 million recorded last month. Gross sports betting revenue for the month of February was $30,5 million. Last month, gross receipts from sports betting were $47,7 million.

Total combined iGaming and Internet sports betting (AGR) gross revenue for February was $182,1 million, including $169,2 million from iGaming and $12,9 million from Internet sports betting, which represent an increase in iGaming of 3,1% and a decrease in sports betting of 31,3% compared to January 2024. Compared to revenues reported in February 2023, iGaming AGR increased 27,0% and sports betting increased by 52,7%.

Total internet sports betting handle of $402,6 million decreased 30,3% from handle of $577,4 million reported in January 2024.


Operators reported paying $34,7 million in taxes and payments to the State of Michigan during February, including:

  • iGaming taxes and fees = $33,8 million
  • Internet sports betting taxes and fees = $922.324


Detroit's three casinos reported paying the city of Detroit $9,3 million in betting taxes and city service fees during the month of February, including:

  • iGaming taxes and fees = $8,9 million
  • Internet sports betting taxes and fees = $356.663

Tribal operators reported making $3,9 million in payments to government bodies in February.
