Lottomatica, a group that represents the largest operator in the Italian gaming market, closed the 9 months with a final collection of 21,7 billion and 1,195 billion in revenues, thanks to a network of approximately 3.014 betting rights, 26 horse racing rights, 19.831 rights VLT, 66.303 NOE AWP and 38.571 AWP2 owned and a network of approximately 17.225 operational sales points, of which 143 under direct management as of 30 September 2023. The Group, which operates in the Online, Sports Franchise and Gaming Franchise sectors, recorded, we read in the management report, a profit for the period of 75,48 million and an overall profit pertaining to the group of 51,18 million.

The Online operating sector recorded collections of Euro 11.533,2 million for the nine-month period ended 30 September 2023, with an increase of approximately 83,0% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year (Euro 6.303,4 million for the nine months ended September 30, 2022). The Online operating sector benefited from the Betflag Acquisition, which contributed to a significant increase in the online gaming offering and
recorded collections of Euro 3.185,2 million and revenues of Euro 76,3 million for the nine-month period ended 30 September 2023. The overall increase in collections for the nine-month period ended September 30, 2023 compared to the nine-month period ended September 30, 2022 was driven by an increase:

  4. Revenue in the Sports Franchise operating segment increased from Euro 1.768,8 million for the nine-month period ended September 30, 2022 to Euro 2.028,7 million for the nine-month period ended September 30, 2023.
  5. Revenues relating to the Sports Franchise operating segment amounted to Euro 277,4 million for the nine-month period ended September 30, 2023, an increase of Euro 24,8 million (+9,8%) compared to Euro 252,6 million for the nine-month period ended September 30, 2022. In the third quarter, performance was impacted by a high payout in September, a schedule with fewer sporting events compared to the previous year in August and the temporary impact resulting from implementation of the franchising point of sale network optimization project (POS project)11.

Revenue in the Gaming Franchise operating segment for the nine-month period ended September 30, 2023 amounted to Euro 8.149,2 million, an increase of Euro 31,7 million compared to Euro 8.117,6 million in the previous year. Revenues relating to the Gaming Franchise operating segment amounted to Euro 543,5 million for the nine-month period ended September 30, 2023, an increase of Euro 17,8 million compared to Euro 525,7 million for the nine-month period ended September 30, 2022.
