The Company's journey towards an increasingly sustainable business continues, oriented towards the constant improvement of environmental, social and governance initiatives

Starting from 2023, with the aim of guiding each activity responsibly through a coordinated effort in communicating initiatives and projects conducted at national and international level, the IGT Group has worked on developing a new approach underlying the growth process, called Sustainable Play.

IGT bases its sustainable development strategy on four priorities: the enhancement and protection of people; the promotion of accountability; community support; sustainability along the value chain.

The valorisation and protection of people:

The promotion of responsibility:

Ethics and integrity are the assumptions on which IGT bases its activities. By ensuring the correctness of operations with constantly updated procedures, the Company governs the relationship between innovation and data protection in an ethical and responsible manner and applies prevention and protection measures with the best existing technology.

The program of Responsible Gaming continues to play a leading role in the Company's sustainability strategy, constantly committed to promoting a conscious gaming environment.

The numerous quality certifications (ISO 27001; World Lottery Association (WLA); SGAD) obtained by IGT certify the appropriateness of all company procedures and services to stakeholders, ensuring continuous improvement.

Community support:

IGT in Italy supports the communities in which it operates through programs that align with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. These programs are designed and conducted in order to promote community development and create value for the local area.

Training of young people and promotion of paths aimed at facilitating their entry into the world of work, social inclusion, technological innovation, enhancement of the historical-artistic heritage and renewal of the urban fabric spaces represent the cornerstones of the company's commitment to the community.

In 2022, IGT in Italy continued the process of assessing the social impact generated by some of its most important projects, including "High Tech High School (HTHS)", aimed at promoting new high-tech talent, and "Homework@home”, an initiative that involves university students in supporting the learning of middle school girls and boys.

In 2022, the support of IGT also made possible the creation and opening of the Casilino Sky Park, one of the largest elevated parks in Europe. It is an urban regeneration project that combines sociality, sport, art and culture in compliance with environmental sustainability.

The commitment to the community is also reflected in the voluntary initiatives undertaken by employees. The company encourages support and support for local non-profit organizations through various active programs that allow everyone to realize their commitment to the community in line with their inclinations and sensitivities.

Sustainability along the value chain:

Thanks to a constant relationship with the sales network and with customers, IGT in Italy is able to conceive always innovative ideas on products and to provide timely assistance services through various channels. Furthermore, the Company ensures that its suppliers meet high economic, ethical and environmental standards as indicated in the Supplier Code of Conduct. Combating climate change is one of the key pillars of IGT's growth vision. In the process of improving the management systems of its services and limiting its environmental impact, IGT in Italy has introduced the use of FSC® certified paper for the receipts of the games of the Lotto and scratch tickets. Indeed, the FSC brand on our products indicates that the paper with which they are made comes from a responsible supply chain that respects forest resources, thus promoting environmentally friendly, socially useful and economically sustainable forest management.

This commitment is also realized thanks to a communication campaign dedicated to players and resellers at points of sale with the aim of promoting virtuous behavior based on the correct disposal of paper and the importance of its recyclability.
