In total, Swedish-licensed gaming companies reported revenue of SEK 27,1 billion (players' bets minus paid winnings) in 2023. This is a decline of just over 1% compared to 2022.

Revenue from state casino games (Casino Cosmopol) fell 11,4 percent, while state lotteries and slot machines (Las Vegas) fell 3,6 percent. Commercial online gaming and betting revenue saw a decline of just under 1%. Utility gambling and restaurant casino increased in 2023.

4 2023 quarter

During the fourth quarter of 2023, sales in the Swedish gaming market amounted to 7,1 billion crowns. This is a decline of just over 3% compared to the corresponding quarter of 2022. The figures are preliminary and are largely based on data from the Swedish Revenue Agency.

As of the end of the fourth quarter of 2023, just over 104.000 people have been suspended for gambling via Spelpaus.se. This is an increase of 5% compared to the previous quarter.
