Il Safer Gambling Hub di EAG continues to go from strength to strength with confirmation that the UK Gambling Commission and the Pegasus Alternative Dispute Resolution Service will both be present at the 2024 edition of the EAG taking place from 16-18 January at ExCeL in London.

The confirmations bring to nine the total number of CSR organisations, including regulatory bodies, that will feature in next year's Hub, a figure which underlines the central importance of SR to the land-based and gaming entertainment sector low risk in the UK.

Bacta CEO John White, who helped curate the inaugural Safer Gambling Hub that launched at EAG Expo 2023 and subsequently oversaw its development ahead of the 2024 show, believes industry-leading exhibitions like EAG have a responsibility to showcase the latest ideas on key industry issues, as well as providing a platform to showcase the latest product.

He has declared: "EAG is recognized for being the industry's premier annual opportunity to come together, network and share the latest thinking. While having access to cutting-edge product innovations provided by over 100 brands is the most important attraction for operators, participation in the EAG also offers a valuable opportunity to update themselves on SR and safer gambling through Hub bringing together key SR organizations and thought leaders in one place".

He added: "From speaking to all the 2023 participants I know how successful they have found their presence on the Safer Gambling Hub, which has provided them with the opportunity to meet low risk gambling operators face to face and discuss all the many issues that have an impact on safer gambling. The EAG Safer Gambling Hub was a great success and bacta is delighted to once again gift the exhibition space to our colleagues from the associations and the regulator".

One of the beneficiaries of the Hub will be the Pegasus Alternative Dispute Resolution Service. Reflecting on his appearance at EAG 2023, the representative of Pegasus ADR, Phil Silver, said: "We were delighted to participate in the first Safer Gambling Hub in 2023. Being part of EAG has helped generate a lot of interest and inquiries, I look forward to using the January edition to engage with operators and define our strategy to the year to come. Having an effective complaints and disputes procedure is an integral part of 'Safer Gambling'”.

The world's only trade show for the land-based gambling and pay-to-play entertainment sectors, EAG attracts operators from sectors including family entertainment centres, adult gaming centres, bars, clubs, bingo halls and bowling centers . With 100+ brands and companies, EAG is a “must follow” for traders.
