The winning company will collaborate and launch a female-focused gaming product in the UK and Ireland

Flutter's leading brands in its UKI division – Sky Betting and Gaming, Paddy Power and Betfair – are looking to partner with a high-potential startup to seize the opportunity to better serve the fast-growing female customer base in the UK and Ireland .

As part of its Alpha Hub program, Flutter Entertainment is looking to meet the needs of female gamers in the UK and Ireland, with recent research indicating an exciting opportunity for this demographic.

To effectively engage this demographic, product ideas must be tailored to their unique gaming style. Since women tend to discover games through social circles, the company should identify new ways to attract customers, focusing on social and community gaming. The solution presented should be a digital entertainment destination that focuses on helping customers relax, enjoy and unwind.

There is also a “wildcard” option for those startups that can provide interesting ideas that don't fit the brief. This allows these companies to present their solutions for how Flutter can create safe and fun experiences for female customers, now and in the future.

The partnership offers symbiotic benefits, with the winning startup having the opportunity to enter into a commercial partnership with Flutter and scale their solution across the UK and Ireland; participate in a demo day to present your business to an audience of investors, tech experts and Flutter leaders; access workshops and networking with Flutter leaders; and access Alpha Hub Startup Support.

Steve Birch, Chief Commercial Officer at Sky Betting & Gaming, said: “We believe this is a really exciting gap in the market and we look forward to finding and partnering with innovative startups through the Alpha Hub program to seize this opportunity.”

Applications are open and will close on 15 March 2024.
