Facebook introduces new tools to manage DIY contests and sweepstakes

(Jamma) Facebook unveiled a new promotions policy updating guidelines for companies running contests and sweepstakes. An incentive for pages that were required to rely on third-party applications. The update is designed to help businesses create and manage promotions on Facebook. Among the amendments, the possibility of adopting do-it-yourself tools to draw and select users through comments, likes, etc. stands out.

In an official blog post, Facebook explains that businesses can collect information through page posts, comments, or even just likes. For example, if a small business wants to run a contest based on the number of likes a post receives, they can do so right on their page, without the need for a third-party app.

According to the American company, this new promotions policy "makes it even easier to build a new product, promote the opening of a new office, and simplify many business objectives."
