Greece prepares blacklist for online gaming; RGA announces legal battle
(Jamma) The contract for the management of state lotteries in Greece was signed yesterday. Greece has thus reached an agreement for 190 million euros plus another 580 million to be paid over the next 12 years with a consortium led by the monopolist Opap. The signing of the contract thus paves the way for the completion of the privatization of OPAP.
The consortium for the management of lotteries led by the Greek monopolist also includes the Austrian Intralot and the American Scientific Games.
Hellenic Lotteries, which owns 67% of OPAP, will have to pay €38 million over the next 5 days, with the remaining €142 million to be paid over the next 6 months.
The 580 million, on the other hand, will be paid in tranches of 50 million euros a year apart from the first year which will only pay 30 million euros.
