Gross gaming revenue in the second quarter of 2023 was €312,61 million, which represents an increase of 2,52% compared to the previous quarter and 55,06% compared to the same quarter of 2022.

As for the main values, deposits and withdrawals of players, their rates of change increased compared to the previous year by 19,62% and 2,97% respectively. Compared to the previous quarter, deposits decreased by -2,01% and withdrawals decreased by -2,33%. Marketing expenses saw an increase of 1,90% compared to the previous quarter and new accounts decreased -7,71%.

In the analysis of the GGR by game segments it is observed that:

The 312,61 million euros of GGR are distributed in 133,31 million euros in Betting (42,64%); 3,54 million euros in Bingo (1,13%); 149,86 million euros in Casino (47,94%), 0,14 million euros in Competitions (0,05%) and 25,76 million euros in Poker (8,24%).

The betting segment has a growth rate of 2,07% compared to the previous quarter and 118,90% compared to the same quarter of the previous year. Conventional sports betting increased by 1,81% and live betting by 3,47% compared to the previous quarter. Horse racing bets increased by 22,67% and other bets decreased by -15,08%.

Bingo recorded growth of 5,54% compared to the previous quarter and 5,51% compared to the same quarter in 2022.

In the casino segment, growth of 4,53% was recorded compared to the first quarter of 2023 and a positive annual change rate of 27,92%. This annual growth occurs in slot machines with 29,91% and live roulette with 31,77%. Compared to the previous quarter, Tsar machines increased their share by 8,93%, traditional roulette by 0,20%, while live roulette decreased by -0,84%.

This quarter, contests saw a decrease of -41,50% and an increase of 1464,85% in year-on-year rate of change. This segment exhibits erratic behavior with annual change rates in the second quarter of 733,02% in 2020; -87,09% in 2021; -98,19% in 2022.

In this second quarter of 2023, poker presents a decline of -5,84% compared to the previous quarter and an increase of 27,57% compared to the same quarter of the previous year. Compared to the previous quarter, poker tournaments decreased by -2,77% and cash poker tournaments decreased by -13,58%. The annual rates of change are positive at 38,12% and 4,85% respectively.

Marketing expenses in the quarter amounted to 96,64 million euros, divided into affiliation expenses of 12,29 million euros; sponsorship 1,22 million euros; promotions 48,96; and advertising 34,17 million euros. Compared to the previous quarter, this expenditure increased by 1,90% with an annual variation of 2,97%. Advertising has positive rates compared to the previous quarter and year of 9,73% and 7,65% respectively. Affiliate spending increases 0,04% from the previous quarter and 56,21% from the previous year. Sponsorship expenses decreased by -0,12% from the previous quarter and increased by 225,15% in annual rate. Promotions decreased -2,45% compared to the previous quarter and -1,71% compared to the previous year.

The monthly average of active gaming accounts is equal to 1.134.993, which implies a decrease of -2,04% compared to the previous quarter and a positive annual variation of 11,43%. The monthly average of new accounts is 102.804 users, with a quarterly decline of -7,71% and an annual rate of -2,96%.

There are a total of 78 authorized operators during the second quarter of 2023.
