Tuci (Impr. Ippici): "It is necessary to reward breeders who race on foreign tracks"

(Jamma) In the Trot every day we see Italian horses of the highest quality that impose themselves in important races in the most equestrian-qualified countries such as Sweden and France. There is no question that the level of many of these horses is no less to that of the winners of Italian group races – said Enrico Tuci of the Italian horse entrepreneurs of the trot and gallop.

“Yet the breeders of horses – he explained – who win abroad are not recognized, with rare exceptions, the prize due to them for their work, exactly like the paddock mates who race and win in Italy. While the lowest level of those who resist, despite everything, to run on our tracks is rightly rewarded.

As often happens, the meritocratic criterion that should form the basis of the horse racing system and stimulate the commitment and investment of entrepreneurs and enthusiasts is not applied.

It is necessary and vital to draw from the chapter "Provvidenze Trotto" to reward horse breeders, often the most virtuous, who have moved to foreign tracks. We will return to this topic soon and will ensure that existing resources are actually distributed to farmers and not dispersed in other highly questionable situations".
