(Jamma) “Certainly this Government is working in favor of the horse racing sector and is demonstrating a sensitivity not found in past legislatures. In fact, many initiatives seem aimed at addressing a management crisis that has now persisted for 15 years and finally the policy seems to be operating in the right and correct direction, that of returning the direct management of the sector to the operators”. These are the words of Enrico Tuci, of the Italian Horse Racing Entrepreneurs in a letter addressed to the Minister of Economy Saccomanni.

“Unfortunately, – writes Tuci – our companies are all closing down due to the absurd difficulty on the part of oversized state bodies which, for various reasons, have not even been able to make payments for 8 months.

Faced with a situation that is more desperate every day, we still do not find the certainties we desperately need. In fact, in order to survive and not stop permanently, we need:

- a signature that immediately makes available the 17,5 million from the Preu (Law 185/2008) which are used to pay the September and October 2012 premiums.

- a signature that immediately returns the proxy to the Racing Companies for the payment of the March and April 2013 Prizes which we suggest to be made in a single solution and in a very short time.

Perhaps it is not clear that we need facts and not words, otherwise we will stop on June 11th, probably forever!”.
