First conference of the month July atSnai Sesana racecourse and with a 10th seasonal day of trot which presented several notable points and which resembled the figure of Renato Becattini, historic Tuscan breeder. And just to Guess Tondi, one of his best achievements, was entitled the most technically interesting test, an invitation to 2040 meters which served as a preparation test in view of the Nello Bellei Prize scheduled in two weeks. Committed to reaping successes in Scandinavia, Alessandro Gocciadoro has entrusted his Sweet Viky to Roberto Vecchione (doubled in the evening): the driver from Campania found himself a… airplane and the biggest problem was curbing the ardor of Adrian Chip's son, extremely toned and eager to go. The standard-bearer of the Ma.ro.da of the Miche familylotto was author of a sumptuous performance: despite starting from the second row, Dolce Viky after 600 fast meters snatched the lead from Dotto dell'Est, completed the km in 1.14, then on Dragowski's advance Day of Glory provided another stretch flying the final quarter in 27.9 and finishing alone, at the record-average of 1.12.5 on 2040 meters. Great impression for a horse that has been respected so far and that with this performance casts a serious candidacy for the role of favorite for the classic scheduled for the middle of the month on the track. Day of Glory and Dragowski ran very well, finishing in the order on the podium, with the only flaw of having found a… “missile” on their way. Dakota Ek was forced to go around the waning Dotto dell'Est (which he hadn't resisted after 400 metres) on the penultimate straight and finished in fourth place, the others finishing scattered around the track at a prohibitive pace.

Opening of the meeting entrusted to the gentlemen, engaged in Rene's Bella Award, a claim on 1640 meters for elderly horses: in the racing scheme in which he manages to express himself best, i.e. pressing on the sides of the tread, it was Tajari with Lorenzo Pantarotto who prevailed, "cooking" Cesara dei Colli on a slow fire, which he had spent on overtake Bomber Alter at the start: the latter tried to play it at speed on the line, but once Tajari got rid of the tread, he stretched confidently and did not get close, finishing with an average of 1.15.6 while Cesara dei Colli remained in third place.

Neglected at betting, Dickens won big on Matia Tondi Award: on the error of the favorite Daytona Cash at the entrance to the first corner and that of a very fiery Doki Doki after half a lap, Holger Ehlert's horse ridden by Roberto Vecchione was quick to parade on the condescending Dynamite Kandy and then kept a very brilliant pace to make Danielone's external ascent weigh: his rival tried to launch the attack in the final half lap but galloped at the entrance to the last corner, and so Vincenzo Petrella's standard bearer could conclude safely with an average of 1.13.4 , while Dhaki Jet emerged second: further back Diabolik Dvs was third on the tired Dynamite Kandy.

Il Mival Tondi Award, the mile test for 3-year-old horses, saw the prolonged fight for the lead between Espresso Grif and Everqueen: the two battled it out for the first 600 metres, with Afrim Shmidra's mare giving up in the end, settling in her rival's slipstream . Espresso Grif, however, could not refuse the move by Estudiantes, promptly followed by Ehlert Par, another student of Afrim Shmidra: the latter, with Francesco Facci in the seat, sprinted into third wheel in the final half lap and with a very brilliant progression he was already prevailing at the end of the final curve, to then stretch safely on the straight line and close with an average of 1.14.1, hitting the fifth success of his career. While waiting, Eres Dorial Mail finished well on the line emerging in second place while Everqueen on Espresso Grif's mistake finished third on a disappointing Estudiantes, who died at the final 200m.

Absolute dominance of the first tape in Renato Becattini Award, the handicap test for horses of cat. C/D/E/F, with Arnold Cup exploiting the proverbial initial agility to slip past the consenting Bentley and manage the pace in the first part of the race: the race got underway on the penultimate straight, when Vulcan Rodi, after gradually approaching the tread, he launched the attack: Arnold Cup, however, responded blow by blow and in a straight line released himself from his rival, finishing with an average of 1.15.2 over 2040 metres. Targeted and winning away for Cosimo Cangelosi's horse who, it is known, built a large part of his fortune in these races: second but with honors Vulcan Rodi, who has little to reproach himself with. Bentley couldn't keep up with the first two in the final 600m but kept third place on Aurora Key, as from positions earned at the start. Brigitte Roc (fifth) was the best among those of a second ribbon conditioned by a start that this time was favorable to the advantaged.

Leaving with circumspection did not help the expected Ermete di Poggio to avoid the mistake in the Tom Goofy Award. Immediately out of the box the favourite, the counter favorite Esmeralda also making a mistake on the first corner, was Ercole Key who made the most of the opportunity: second from the start behind the pacesetter Emozione Cap, the horse entrusted by Giorgio Fantini to Edo Baldi moved to the attack on the penultimate straight, quickly cleared the tread and stretched safely towards the finish line, hitting the first victory of his career and the new record of 1.16.6. Faen Troot followed the moves of the winner and emerged in second place, while Euridice prevailed in the final on the tired Emozione Cap for third.

Very leaning on betting, Blue Dancer had to sweat the proverbial seven shirts in the Zerlina Tondi Award, the test on 1640 meters for horses of cat. G to repay the many supporters: Gennaro Casillo's horse ridden by Antonio Di Nardo was in fact forced to face a large part of the route in the open to chase a wild Taiga Woodland (km in 1.13.4): the tread ran out of gas to the 350 final, so Blue Dancer hooked him and in the line, in the understandably slow arrival, overtook him to establish himself with an average of 1.12.9 (in cat. G!). Taiga Woodland ran great but had to bow to the winner, while Bargecchia Dr outsprinted Zig Zag Op for third place.

Upcoming appointments at Sesana with the racing evenings of Thursday 6 e Saturday 8.
