First appointment of the month March with the trotSnai La Maura Racecourse. The highlight of the Saturday the afternoon was the C/D category senior marathon named in memory of Maurizio Schettino, the unfortunate driver who died prematurely in May 1996. On a day lacking in satisfaction for Alessandro Gocciadoro, the driver from Noceto could console himself thanks to Caius Titus Bond: the son of Varenne, owned by Stefano Bondi, took the lead after a short battle over Coltwine di Casei, could graduate at will, completing the mile in 2.03, then progressively increased in the final 600 meters and did not allow himself to be threatened, closing the 2700 meters with an average of 1.15. Surprisingly second was the outsider Click Starlight, who made a puncture on the last Coltwine curve of Casei, who had tried to move but remained on pace and still finished third at a further interval: no one managed to recover in the final half lap, a clear sign that it's closed tight.
Winner on Friday in Albenga, Easy Quite Fbs promptly confirmed itself 24 hours later by imposing itself in the Viscarda Jet Award, claiming her on the 1650 meters for 4-year-old horses entrusted to gentlemen: with Fabio Marchino in sulky (with whom she had already won again in Milan at the end of January), Mauro Baroncini's pupil once again made the most of her initial speed to produce a comfortable coast to coast (first km in just 1.19, final average of 1.16.1) and thus achieve the third success in a row. Evelyn's took advantage of the winner's wake to win the second coin, Elodie Stecca from the third team moved in third wheel in the 600 final and finished well in third place.
