The anticipation is growing for Thursday's super appointment with the Milan Cup

First trotting conference of the month December atSnai La Maura Racecourse waiting for the super appointment of Thursday, day of Sant'Ambrogio and celebration for the Milanese, with the Milan Cup – Alessandro Ferrario Memorial – Cantine Selvolini Trophy, group III test for foreign horses aged 4 years and over and indigenous horses aged 5 years and over competing over a distance of 1650 metres. She was one Sunday with seven trials valid for 44th day of the season dedicated toBigi breeding of the late Giacomo Bruno, well-known Gentleman Driver, breeder and owner, who we remember among his 'creations' Fitzgerald Bigi, winner of grand prix in Italy and France in the hands of Andrea Guzzinati, and then Metellus Om winner of GPs in Italy until he went on to represent our country in the International Trot paired with Roberto Andghetti. On the track, however, attention went to Cash Bank Bigi Award, conditional test only for 2-year-old females who have not won 8.000 euros in their career, and the test for charitable purposes is valid just like Fitzgerald Bigi Award – Onlus Trophy Milan, handicap on 2700 meters for elderly horses entrusted to the hands of the Gentlemen.

And let's start from the news of this December 3rd with the highlight of the afternoon, the aforementioned Award Cash Bank Bigi, in which on paper he saw a trio of favorite mares, the first three of the starting field, with a slight betting preference for Fenicia As, fresh from three consecutive second places. At the start of the car First Lady Trio took the lead followed by Faymonville St soon paired by Fenicia As, with the three favorites immediately in the top positions followed in second place by Fan Idole Vf and Fede As. The pace of the tread was good and did not leave great margin of recovery from the rear. It was still First Lady Trio who entered straight ahead with Fenicia As down and Faymonville St still firmly in the wake of the pace from which Santo Mollo moved to the final 100 finding it decreasing and ending up adjusting it correctly but in a rather comfortable way for the records. First Lady Trio still remained a very valid second, while the third coin was taken by Fan Idole VF.

The other interesting test was the one reserved for the Gentlemen for the Fitzgerald Bigi Award – Onlus Trophy Milan which had noble purposes considering that 5% of the prizes will be donated to a Milanese non-profit association. Technically a long distance handicap of 2.700 meters with horses of two different categories spaced on the two ribbons. The two were fast at the first lap with Barnaba Baba rejecting Beatles Boy Treb and Otello Zorzetto deciding to impose his own pace on the race. The horses of the second band were also immediately close thanks to a rather slow pace imposed by the outrider. Nothing happened for the entire first mile with the six protagonists in single file and no one trying to move or attempt to climb until just before entering the straight line when Showmar tried to break the delay and move in search of the pacesetter, promptly preceded by Zelia CC who forced Showmar to third wheel. But Otello Zorzetto and his Barnaba Baba had done their calculations very well, going on to achieve a very comfortable victory, leaving three horses in a very close picture with Showmar ahead of Zanza Frank by a margin and Beatles Boy Treb who finished fourth.

Returning to the exit order, the Milanese day was opened by a test for the elderly entrusted to the hands of the young students and valid for the Rolex Bigi Award with the underdogs clearly going to Bon Jovi Jet. At the start from the outside Turbo Bye Bye quickly took the lead and then found himself having to repel the repeated attempts of Velasquez Lux on his outside and above all of Ciel Joyeuse who in third wheel tried to ask for the way but was rejected. Entering the final corner, nothing was decided yet with the favorite Bon Jovi Jet struggling to recover from the rear while Antares Three had found a good inside gap after the initial break. At the straight entry almost all the protagonists lined up in a fan with Aladin Bar and Gaetano Casella who crossed the finish line first, preceding a very valid Turbo Bye Bye who remained at altitude while Antares Three finished in third place.

To follow, for the Bigi Oxygen Award, conditional test for 3-year-old horses starting between the bands with Etranger Joyeuse returning from a good success at the last betting favorite. In the trials of the round of the start with the ribbons, a problem with Elegant Joyeuse's sulky caused Federico Esposito to fall with the consequent escape of the horse which was clearly withdrawn. The first signal was immediately valid with the favorite Etranger Joyeuse quick at the start to take the lead and his direct rivals, Eden Del Ronco and Enjoy Dream immediately disqualified. Nothing changes until the end with Andrea Guzzinati in total control who has no difficulty in taking home the final success ahead of Eclipse Grif and Efeliaz.

In Flower Bigi Award another conditioned one but for colts in which Follia d'Esi stood out, victorious on its debut and awaiting prompt confirmation. At the start, however, the favorite ran into some galloping steps and immediately lost ground. Frenzis Dance and Frencis Zl broke away in front, with the latter taking the lead. At the first pass, Fruttosio came forward and followed Frencis Zl with Frencis Dance third on the rope who in turn had Flaviana Grif on the outside who, at the attack of the curve, presented herself threateningly on the leader, dragging Falco del Duomo with the latter entering the straight with a large advantage over the competition, an advantage which however did not allow him to protect himself from Filippo Rocca and First Time Roc who pinched him on the post for a final past. Third was Favilla Amg who in turn preceded Follia d'Esi in a long climb after the initial error.

Also conditioned for the fourth race, but for the Stefano Bigi Award, with 4-year-old horses as protagonists over the double kilometer distance in a rather tight starting field with six horses at the start and a certain balance in the betting. At the start Dalila Grif tried in vain to contain Duello who still managed to take the lead with the number 4. Nothing changed, nothing changed except the ascent of D'Artagnan Bar who formed a team with Dalila Grif behind the pacesetter. At the attack of the last corner Fabio Settimio Mollo asked for an advantage in his Duello who responded positively by extending until the comfortable final success while for second place D'Annunzio Fi got the better of Dream Lady.

To close the beautiful Milanese day, the Orange Bigi Award, a double claim on two tapes. Quick start, Drumm was immediately attacked by Don Salvio Jet who tried to ask for a path without managing to get it. Behind Daisy Del Duomo with the favorite Diablo Roc in fifth position. Errors for Doraimon and Dasiy of the Cathedral. Then it was Diablo Roc who, following errors, quickly took the lead again on the straight ahead, finding himself managing an important advantage when entering the straight in which he made himself intangible for all the other opponents, among whom Don Salvio Jet took second position while Drumm finished in third.

The next meetings this month atSnai La Maura Racecourse, in addition to the aforementioned Thursday 7 with the Cup of Milan (Group III), are scheduled for Sunday 17th, Wednesday 20th, Sunday 24 and finally Friday 29.
