Lega Ippica Italiana Committee: "Good news from the Gallop front"

(Jamma) - Finally - writes the Italian Horse Racing Committee - the Gallop Associations are beginning to focus on objectives and a common path, which largely follows the provisions of the Italian Horse Racing League project.

We appreciate the proposal to "re-found the Italian Jockey Club – Steeple Chases as a private instrument of the technical Governance of the Gallop Area, an expression of the trade associations", and we have always maintained that the role of the Technical Bodies must be fundamental in a modern management structure of private nature where the representatives of horse racing will finally manage the sector.
Certainly, this structure would be completely useless if combined with an institutional body such as Unire, Assi or, even worse, a Ministry! And the facts prove it.
The Lega Ippica Italiana project envisages a strong institutional Governance body which will have to be assisted by Technical Bodies, one of the Gallop (on the Jockey Club model) and one of the Trot (on the Encat model), which include all the operational and sporting components of the sector .
Our project does not intend to break up the horse racing categories in the slightest, on the contrary it unites the role of horse racing operators and racecourse managers and makes the Gallop and Trot components more supportive of each other.
Now, with a joint press release, the Gallop Associations have released themselves from the embrace of the Unitary Representation by appointing dr. Pio Bruni as their Coordinator. Only the last step remains to be taken: to find the courage to emerge from the "maternal womb" of the Ministry, which has so well guarded them up to now, to converge, addressing together the most delicate passages and issues, on our proposal, which it will finally take us out of that deadly mix of politics and bureaucracy that is impoverishing us to the point of humiliating and killing us as never before.
Dr. Pio Bruni, who enjoys all our esteem and sympathy, can count on us to help the Gallop Associations find the courage to take this decisive step towards the desired rebirth!
